Transfer tokens from one account to another

It would be really nice to promote collaboration on projects by also allowing one account to transfer tokens to another. Due to bureaucratic reasons, the project owner might not always be able to efficiently buy tokens themselves; or when they might not have enough budget anymore, or only someone else has access to the budget, it might be very good to be able to transfer tokens from one person to another. Especially since only the project owner can add tokens to experiments.

Hi Louise! Thank you for your suggestion. This is one of the many benefits of our subscriptions, as you can have one person (or more) managing the budget and the tokens in a central location who can transfer tokens to and from the accounts of others who may not be able to use or access funding themselves.
We are additionally looking into alternatives to make payments easier, including the ability to have someone else (e.g. a student's supervisor or someone with access to a departmental credit card) complete the transaction on behalf of another user which should remove the need to swap tokens between accounts :)

Jade Pickering: Dear Jade, yes thank you for your reply. However, right now, what can be done? There are unused tokens on the account of a colleague, and it is not possible to transfer them to my account now.

Louise Staring: Hi Louise, I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to you! In Gorilla, only the project owner can assign tokens to a study, but the good news is that projects can be transferred. Take a look here for a guide on how to do that: https://support.gorilla.sc/support/pricing-subscriptions-services/subscription-FAQ#howdoitransferaprojectsownershiptoanotheruser
So if the project is transferred to the owner of the tokens, they can assign and use those remaining tokens that way. I think that will solve this particular problem, but do let me know if there are other issues that I haven't considered!
