I'm simply trying to populate a "country of residence" dropdown from a list, as adding 100+ options is not feasible.

The Questionnaire Builder doesn't use a spreadsheet, but you can use store/embedded data in QB2 based on participant responses from anywhere in your experiment.
Can you give me a bit more information about what functionality you're looking for, perhaps with an example? That would really help! :)
